Welcome
to the Minardi Club San Francisco website!
Our organization is a group of highly dedicated Minardi fans primarily
from the San Francisco bay area but is open to any Minardi fan anywhere.
We exist for only one purpose and is best defined by our founding
premise:
The Minardi Fan Club, San Francisco, exists to support and enjoy Motorsport.
Having our beloved team leave
Formula One was a disappointment but we are determined to follow Gian
Carlo Minardi as he and son Giovanni Re-invent the Minardi name. We are
also supporters of Scuderia Toro Rosso. The Boys and Girls from Faenza
who continue to be the hardest working team in F1. We also support
GP2 challengers Piquet Sports/GP Racing based outside Padua in Northern
Italy they have had strong ties with Gian Carlo and the team have shown
us great times in the past years.
Club events include watching and attending FIA World Championship races,
karting, collecting Minardi memorabilia and more. Our big event of the
year used to be at Indy when we celebrated Minardi Club San Francisco Day at
the USGP. In 2005 we had our first overseas GP trip to San Marino. In
2006 we attended the Italian GP at Monza with a visit to the new GP
Racing Factory at Veggiano as well as Toro Rosso in Faenza. We also had dinner with Giancarlo Minardi. More
events to be planned!
